Welcome to the Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence website. Our Lady of Peace is located on the campus of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and Health Center in Lewiston, New York. The facility provides a wide range of services to address many levels of care, from short-term rehab to long-term skilled nursing. Our facility features: - A 40-bed “Steps to Life” Rehabilitation Unit designed to provide short-term, in-house rehabilitation services - A 42-bed Special Care Unit offering personalized care to meet all the needs of our residents with Alzheimer’s and Dementia - Traditional Care Services providing round-the-clock skilled nursing care that promotes, with dignity and respect, the residents’ well-being Our goal at Our Lady of Peace is to maintain our residents at the highest level of independence and/or provide rehabilitation which will return them to independent settings in the community. Some of the in-house activities offered to our residents are bingo, cooking classes, as well as craft classes. Local schools and civic groups also visit and entertain our Residents. Whether it is a trip to a local baseball game, a shopping experience at a local retailer, or participating in an event in the community, all of these elements are important in maintaining independence in their community. |

Traditional services offered to our Residents are dental and eye examinations in the privacy of our physician suite. The facility also features a large barber/beauty shop with services offered Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Religious services are offered that are respectful to all faiths. Residents unable to attend services can view them on the local facility channel. Our Mission is to provide spiritually centered care to individuals in need of our service, always respecting their uniqueness, faith and human dignity, and to create a pleasant, safe and home-like caring environment, providing a full range of services to enable persons to reach their fullest potential.
