Ron Zito named new administrator
Ron Zito, MSN, NHA, has been named Administrator of the Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence of Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center campus. The announcement was made by Angelo G. Calbone, president and chief executive officer of Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Zito replaces Randy A. Muenzner who has resigned to accept the position of Vice President of Operations for ElderWood Senior Care in Williamsville.
"While we are disappointed to lose Randy from the organization we wish him well as he assumes his new responsibilities with ElderWood," Mr. Calbone said. "We are fortunate to be able to secure the services of Mr. Zito who comes to us with a a great deal of nursing home administrative experience."
Mr. Zito most recently was the Administrator of St. Francis of Williamsville, a 142-bed facility which operates a 30-bed sub-acute rehabilitation Rehabilitation Unit. Prior to that appointment, he was the Administrator of Delaware Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Buffalo, a 200-bed facilityand Father Baker Manor,160-bed facility in Orchard Park.
Mr. Zito is a native of Niagara Falls and a lifelong resident of Niagara County. He will assume his role at Our Lady of Peace in mid-July, 2005.
Our Lady of Peace, opened in June 2003, is a $39 million, 250-bed state-of-the-art residence that provides long term care, skilled care, and rehabilitation. It is located on the Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center Campus off Lewiston Road in the Town of Lewiston.
